Darby's Dancers Forget Me Not Flowers

Darby’s Dancers is a nationwide, non-profit organization that provides dance education to children with special needs by offering already established dance studios, in local communities throughout the US, the training and assistance necessary to provide fully inclusive dance programming.  By participating with Darby's Dancers, local dance studios are able to offer once-a-week classes in all types of dance, to children with disabilities.  Dancers in the program gain confidence, coordination, strength and lifelong friends, all while feeling like a star.  Darby's Dancers also provides volunteer opportunities for teens.  Teen volunteers, or mentors, learn important lessons in responsibility and leadership - but most of all friendship, by providing one-on-one assistance to a special needs dancer.  The charitable contributions of youth volunteers, dance instructors, community dance studios and local businesses allow Darby's Dancers to provide dance classes, supplies and costumes to dancers with special needs at no cost to their parents.  To learn more about Darby's Dancers visit their website at: Darby's Dancers
